REAR SKIRT HAS FAINT TRACE OF MAKER MARK AND NUMBER BUT MOST PITTED AWAY WITH AGE NOW
ITS NEVER HAD ANY DECALS ON IT AND IT HAS BEEN LATE WAR , THE THINNER LATE WAR PAINT IS STILL THERE IN PLACES .M42 PATTERN LINER AND CHIN STRAP ALL TRUE TO THE HELMET . NEVER MESSED WITH
condition = VINTAGE 80 YEARS OLD . its worn used ,and barn find condition and bought in 2000s at normandie france village fair , shell has had thin late war paint which is still there in places , inner liner has had part eaten by rodent and clearly stained by blood a KIA helmet fro sure , shell has slight dint in back which may have been part of the action resulting it it . chin strap leather is old cracked but still ok . a stunning barn find form normandie battles of ww2 , STILL A STUNNING ORIGINAL REAL HELMET .
